Welcome to SOA BEM, a one man enterprise found by Dennis Braun in July 2022, based in Leipzig, Germany.

Dennis' ultimate goal is to create DJ mixers that are not only inspiring and fun to use but also boast exceptional quality. Dennis has always been passionate about music, enjoying a wide range of genres. As a DJ for over 10 years, mostly playing records, he has an appreciation for the craft of DJing and having the right tools for the job.

With a Bachelor's degree in Precision Engineering and a Master's degree in Laser- and Optotechnologies, Dennis has a strong foundation in technical expertise. Before starting SOA BEM, he worked as a research associate in medical technology, mainly developing instruments for the minimally-invasive surgery.

Dennis believes that in order to create sustainable products, it’s important for them to have character and a functional, timeless design. This way, they can be enjoyed for centuries.

The first mixer, the OLHO-2R, was developed over a period of 18 months. The production of one mixer takes several days, including hand-soldering more than 750 through-hole components to the circuit boards. Dennis is extremely grateful and proud of being able to put all the literal blood, sweat and the tears into this project.
